2010 is here, and with it comes the much-anticipated second edition of ‘The Deptford Art Map’! We are back, after the fantastic success of the first edition, with new galleries and studios added to our listings and many more exciting and entertaining events to come and enjoy.

The start of a new year often prompts new beginnings and exciting prospects, and this is reflected in the extensive range of events being held in the not to distant future at the local galleries and studios of Deptford. Deptford Last Fridays are continuing with growing success, making amazing work even more accessible, and the Deptford Art Tours are currently the most popular way to see what goes on behind the scenes of the galleries, studios and spaces that we feature.

Goth On Bus – ‘Incidents’

This February, visit an experimental show at Goth On Bus, a not for profit organisation in Greenwich, South East London. The gallery specialises in providing a platform for early-career artists, and places emphasis on the investigational nature of art itself. Untraditional in some respects, the gallery promotes, but does not sell work of the artists that it shows, focusing instead on the need to expand contemporary art within the local community.
